KTP Laser

Overview:

This double pulsed Nd:YAG laser treats facial blood vessels and spider veins.

Expected results:

Reduction of unwanted blood vessels.

Preparation:

Sunscreen for several weeks. Avoidance of alcohol prevents the dilation of blood vessels especially with rosacea.

Post treatment instructions:

Sun protection for 6 weeks after each treatment. Avoidance of alcohol for 2 weeks after each procedure.

Time to desired results:

1-4 treatments 4-6 weeks apart may be necessary to eradicate unwanted blood vessels.

Contraindications:

Recent tan. Skin types that never burn.

Duration of desired effects:

5-7 years. After this time, our body will form new vessels, especially in genetically determined spider veins.

Downtime:

Redness, swelling and bruising for several days, bruising for up to 3 months with leg vein treatment. Scarring is rare but may occur.

I have been to a number of derm docs....often it seems as though they have you try this or that but never seem to have a clear plan as to how they will treat ALL of the issues at hand. Thank you for taking the time to address each one of my concerns.

I don't have insurance, and Dr.Ringpfeil carfully thought about my situation and prescripted with my budget. Very nice and explained each medication that I'm on. LOVE THIS PLACE! hope my face gets better fast..

I have a suggestion: I noticed that two of the lovely rugs pose hazards to patients using walkers or who may have other mobility issues. The large rug placed at an angle and the narrow rug placed in front of the reception desk leave no room for these individuals to safely manuveur around the reception area and are likely to contribute to fall risks. I would suggest leaving these areas clear.
